SAL DE VIDA BRINE PROJECT: History

Sal de Vida Brine Project History

Minera Altiplano (FMC) has been producing lithium compounds from brine at the El Fenix mining claims on the western half of the Salar del Hombre Muerto since 1997. However, there has been no significant previous exploration or mining for lithium brines on the Sal de Vida properties.

The initial mining claims identified and acquired for lithium exploration and evaluation in the project area belong to the borate miner Maktub Compania Minera S.R.L. (Maktub), who has been active in the area since 2002. The Company has acquired numerous additional smaller parcels, some optioned or purchased from individuals or small borate companies, and others staked as exploration cateos.
